Our TreASures is comprised of those with a variety of different needs at different levels of severity. Some of the diagnoses we support are (but are not limited to):
Autism/High-Functioning Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, Pervasive Developmental Disorder/PDD-NOS, ADD/ADHD. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder,Learning Disabilities, Anxiety, Depression and other issues associated with autism spectrum disorders.
In 2014 Our TreASures officially became a non-profit organization in order to allow others to help support what we do. Because we strive to serve anyone who needs support, we do not require membership and try to do as much as possible at no cost to families. As such, financial support from those who believe in our mission is so important in helping us serve those in our surrounding communities. Every dollar you contribute goes directly toward our programming and is tax deductible. There is no contribution too big or small, and we sincerely thank all of you for your support!
Our TreASures is continually seeking opportunities to network and educate the community about Autism Spectrum Disorders in order to assist in creating awareness and opportunities for those on the spectrum to be successful and live fulfilling lives.
Our TreASures is a non-profit organization focused on providing support and resources to families affected by Autism Spectrum (or related) Disorders. We provide a safe and positive environment that allows those on the spectrum to develop their social skills and self-confidence. Through our family programming and through spreading autism awareness, we hope to help those on the Autism Spectrum live and contribute to society at their highest level of potential. We do this by understanding their challenges while focusing on their positive attributes and strengths.
We invite you to attend one of our monthly parent group meetings for support or join us for a group outing or volunteer opportunity. Please feel free to utilize this site and contact us with any questions.
“Everyone I have encountered over the years have deeply impacted my life. Although my job is to support others, I can assure you that the families in our group have supported me and my family tremendously and I am truly grateful for them. I have the great privilege of being a part of something wonderful, and every time I see kids developing socially and self-advocating, it reminds me of how important our work is and how much we can make a difference. I'm just trying to do my part to make our community a place where our children have the opportunities to live as adults with integrity and pride., but more importantly, to have fun along the way.”
